One of the main questions that our Liverpool fans have is to know in which position Trent Alexander-Arnold will play this season, as it is clear that he will be a very important starting player, not for nothing he was recently named vice captain of the team, but it seems that there are still many doubts about the role he will have in Jürgen Klopp's scheme.
Since the last part of the previous campaign, Klopp decided to try putting Trent Alexander-Arnold as a midfielder and during the time he played in that position he performed spectacularly as he led the entire Premier League in assists and chances created. His performance was so good playing as a midfielder that even the England national team coach used him in that position during the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
In the pre-season, Jürgen decided to keep the trend of using Alexander-Arnold as a midfielder, but in a different role, as during the first friendly matches of the summer TAA played as a number six, mainly due to the departure of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson from the club. In that position he seemed not to feel as comfortable and during those games Conor Bradley played as a right back, impressing the German tactician.
However, in the final part of the pre-season, Bradley suffered a minor injury that forced him to sit out the last few games and Trent Alexander-Arnold returned to his old role at right-back, where it looks like he will start the season, although it remains to be seen, as Bradley showed he has the qualities to play in the first team.
In an interview with Liverpool's official website, Conor Bradley assured that he feels he performed well during the pre-season and that he is very eager to see what he can do with the first team. "I just want to play as many games as I can. And any time I do get the chance to play, I just want to try to do the best I can and hopefully that goes well for me," he said.
