Liverpool has quite clear objectives for the upcoming transfer market and among them is the incorporation of young players that can strengthen the team and have an immediate impact, as well as be part of the club's long-term project. However, some young players already at the club could leave for other teams that could tempt them to play in the Champions League next season, something Liverpool will not do.

The 2022-2023 season was a disappointment for Reds fans, who suffered when the team failed to finish in the top four of the Premier League, thus losing the chance to play in Europe's top club competition. That is why, faced with the possibility of migrating to a team that will be in the Champions League, some players may want to leave the club.

While it is true that the Anfield board knows that they will have to sell some players to make room for the members of Jürgen Klopp's new project, there are players they would not like to part with, as both the board and the German tactician consider them important for the medium and long-term future of the project.

Such is the case of Fabio Carvalho, who in recent weeks has been on the radar of several European teams inside and outside the Premier League, who see in the 20-year-old Portuguese midfielder a promising player who can increase his current value, which is 20 million euros, significantly for the future. One of those teams, perhaps the most interested of all, is RB Leipzig, who will participate in the Champions League in the 2023-2024 season.

Liverpool have already turned down an offer from Leipzig

The Bundesliga side already launched a first offer to Liverpool's board to sign Fabio Carvalho, but it was rejected. According to Fabrizio Romano, Leipzig will try again with a higher offer. For their part, Liverpool would not be willing to let him leave, but would consider loaning him out.
