The Bundesliga, like many of Europe's top leagues, has ended its season on a high note, and after the dramatic championship resolution that crowned Bayern Munich as the new German champions, several of Borussia Dortmund's players will have to turn the page as they look to strengthen in the summer with a view to revenge for next season.

One of the players most affected by Dortmund's runners-up spot was undoubtedly Jude Bellingham, and the British midfielder has been in the sights of the big European teams in recent months, who have already prepared big financial and sporting offers for him, which he will have to analyse before making a decision on whether or not he should leave Germany.

After winning the best player of the season award, Bellingham has expressed his gratitude to all the players and fans who voted for him, highlighting the importance of his teammates in his day to day life as well as the physical and mental preparation he will do to be ready for the next campaign, alarming Real Madrid who are following him very closely. "I just wanted to thank all the players and fans who voted and also for supporting me this season. It's time to recover physically and mentally to be ready for next season.

Bellingham dismisses Madrid but maintains desire to be in Liverpool environment

With the midfielder's blunt message about his desire for a rematch with Dortmund, the idea of the midfielder leaving Germany for Madrid looks complicated, but not so when Bellingham is told about Liverpool and especially his friends Trent Alexander Arnold and Jordan Henderson, both of whom he is likely to meet in training with England in the next few days as they prepare for the fourth leg of their Euro 2024 qualifiers.
