Sergio Aguero is now enjoying life away from the pitch, but he is not giving up his fanaticism for football. The Argentinian made just four appearances for FC Barcelona, but they were enough for the club to leave an indelible mark on him, scoring against Madrid in the first and only Clasico he played in before his retirement. The Argentinian legend with a past at Manchester City and Atletico Madrid spoke about the current state of world football and ahead of Liverpool's clash with Manchester City on Saturday.

Aguero also had a few words for Barcelona's current form, putting Xavi in the spotlight in an attempt to give more rope to a coach who less than six months ago won the league title: "Xavi arrived at Barcelona to lead the first team at a very tough time for the club and he has been able to produce excellent results in a very short period of time. He is a very young coach, and he has Barcelona in his DNA. Xavi has created a team that combines experienced players with promising young players and, as in any process, he will need some time to settle his ideas".

Regarding the clash between Liverpool and Manchester City, Aguero recalled his time with the Citizens and said that he had never scored at Anfield although he knows that they are very difficult games, especially given the strength of the group of players in both teams. He did not dare to give a prediction, but anticipated a tight game.

And in the chat he had on his Twitch channel, the Argentinian also recalled that as a child his idol was Michael Owen, the former Liverpool player who he liked to look like. In fact he also revealed that at one point he was close to signing for Liverpool but due to financial differences and his age he did not sign.
