World Cup fever is spreading around the world and everyone has their eyes on Qatar where the best football at national team level is taking place. Some teams, some with a chance and some without, are looking to continue on the road to the coveted star. There are national teams that have suffered by leaving out superstars from their respective call-ups, some of whom have taken it well and others who have decided to try their hand at partying and partying.

Such is the case of Liverpool's young striker Harvey Elliott, who after not making manager Gareth Southgate's final list of 23 players, decided to take a break before reporting back to the Red's for the friendly games against Lyon and AC Milan prior to the resumption of activities in England. Elliott's company was none other than fellow Reds player Kostas Tsimikas of Greece.

The controversial reel was uploaded on Tsimikas' personal instagram profile, and quickly garnered thousands of views and comments. Comments for and against, the defender found in his notifications, as for some, it is unacceptable that in the middle of the season the players take lightly this break caused by the World Cup. Others were amused by the video and wrote that they were envious to be partying with these Liverpool stars.

It is worth noting that Elliott is a reality at U21 level, where he currently has five games under his belt, as well as having played at U17 and U19 level. The Fulham FC graduate was spotted by the Red's scouts in 2019 with a view to signing him to complement his professional career. Once at Anfield, Elliott was loaned out a year later to Ascension League side Blackburn Rovers, where he returned until 2021 to join Jürgen Klopp's side.

Tsimikas, who arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2020, has struggled with injuries, which have taken him away from his best form that he showed in his second spell with Olympiacos, the club that brought him through the youth ranks and sent him to Denmark to play for Esbjerg FB and then to the Netherlands to play for Wilmen II. Elliott and Tsimikas are due to report at the end of the month for medical and fitness work. Liverpool will officially face ManCity on 22 December, four days after the Grand Final in Qatar.
