After the refereeing controversy that the Reds experienced in their matchday 7 game against Tottenham, this Merseyside institution has taken action to try to resolve in the best possible way this series of injustices against them that seems not to have an immediate end after it became known that Antony Taylor will be in charge of judging the actions of their clash against Brighton.

The English referee is far from the ideal man to judge a game in which Jürgen Klopp and his men will be on their guard against any unfairness, with Taylor's lack of preparation for the Champions League match between Barcelona and Porto, causing the referee's insecurities to give the Reds a bad feeling going into this weekend's Premier League fixture.

The embarrassing moment that happened this English referee was presented until the 78th minute when Anthony signaled a penalty allegedly committed by Joao Cancelo, being corrected this referee from the video referee where he had to reverse his decision that initially put at risk the victory of Barcelona who won the game 1-0 for those instances. The low level of this referee made a fool of the entire Premier League, which today received hundreds of jeers from fans from other countries, with the Spanish fans being the most annoyed with the performance of the referee who failed to act correctly in a decision that would have changed the course of the match completely.

Reds need to be cautious

While it is true that Taylor eventually corrected his error in pointing out the foul prior to Cancelo's penalty, the Reds are aware that the VAR system of operations in the Champions League and the PL is very different, with Klopp and his boys deeply fearful of another huge injustice from a referee who has been singled out throughout his career for under-performance rather than correctness.
