Liverpool welcome Chelsea to Anfield for their 21st Premier League fixture on Saturday

Liverpool welcome Chelsea to Anfield for their 21st Premier League fixture on Saturday. Liverpool are looking for a win at home in their Premier League fixture after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion in the previous game. Since the start of the season, the home side have won eight of their 18 Premier League games to date, scoring 34 goals and conceding 25.

On the visitors' side, Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 1-0 in their last meeting in the competition with a goal from Kai Havertz, so they will be hoping for a repeat, this time at the Liverpool Stadium. Of the 19 games they have played this Premier League season, Chelsea have won eight of them and conceded 21 goals to 22.

Looking at home form, Liverpool have won six times, been beaten once and drawn twice in nine games played so far, so we cannot know how they will fare in this fixture, but they will struggle to win. Away, Chelsea have a record of three wins, five defeats and two draws in 10 games played, figures that show the team's shortcomings in their away games.

<strong>Firmino renewed</strong>

While the club has not made it official, according to reports Roberto Firmino has already agreed to a renewal with Liverpool. This will surely mean that a striker that Jurgen Klop was looking for in the last few days, will finally not arrive.
