In recent years in which our Liverpool has re-established itself as one of the best teams in Europe, and during which we have won absolutely every trophy possible, great figures have emerged, players who have established themselves as part of football's elite and who have been fundamental to the success of Jürgen Klopp's team in the last golden era of our beloved club.
However, as the years have gone by, fewer and fewer of those players remain at Anfield, although the one who was perhaps the most important of them all is still with us. We are talking about Mohamed Salah, who has become a Liverpool legend for the fans, who already place him on the list of the best players the Reds have ever had.
Salah has seen how, little by little, his former teammates, those with whom he conquered the glory of world football, have left Liverpool. In particular, Salah has suffered the departures of Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mané, who, together with him, formed one of the most dangerous and feared attacks in European football that conquered everything, but which has now remained only in the memories of those fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to see them in action.
And although Mo Salah seems to be far from leaving Anfield, as he is still the best player in the squad and a key piece for Jürgen Klopp's project, it is also true that Liverpool's board would do well to start looking for the Pharaoh's heir, who is already 31 years old, and it seems that one of the great candidates to replace Salah when he leaves, is already in the team's ranks.
We are talking about Ben Doak, a Scottish right winger of just 17 years of age, who already had the opportunity to debut with Liverpool's first team in the Premier League, leaving good feelings to Jürgen Klopp, who could have him in mind as a diamond in the rough that will be worth watching in the coming years.
