Competition for Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha has intensified with recent interest from Manchester United and Liverpool. The Portugal international, who was close to joining Bayern Munich in the summer before the deal fell through, has been a standout performer for Fulham this season, scoring crucially against Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Palhinha, 28, continues to be the subject of speculation over his future, and now adds interest from Manchester United and Liverpool. The Red Devils are looking to strengthen their midfield, considering the sale of Casemiro and the possible departure of Donny van de Beek in January. Liverpool, on the other hand, despite having strengthened their midfield in the summer, are still keeping an eye on market opportunities, especially with the uncertainty over Thiago Alcantara's contract, which expires in June 2024.

Fulham are preparing for potential departures and are considering Fluminense's Andre as a possible replacement for Palhinha. However, the London club could raise transfer demands for the midfielder, who signed a contract extension in September, tying him to the club until at least 2028. With Palhinha on the radar of two Premier League giants, the bidding for his services is expected to be intense. Bayern Munich, who came close to securing his signature in the summer, could be back at the negotiating table. The January transfer window promises to be an exciting one for the Portuguese midfielder and his Premier League future.

Palhinha no and Mac Allister's injury

Despite these rumours, journalist David Lynch has published information that undermines the possibility of the Portuguese's arrival at Anfield, despite Thiago's injury and Alexis Mac Allister's recent problem that has kept him off the pitch indefinitely and causes an important hole in midfield.
