Liverpool's German manager, Jürgen Klopp, spoke at a press conference about the incredible goal that Uruguayan striker Darwin Núñez missed in Sunday's last-minute equaliser against Luton Town in the Premier League's 11th round of fixtures.

When they were still level at 0-0, the Uruguayan missed a goal under the goal after a pass from Mohamed Salah, who, when he saw what happened, grabbed his head because he couldn't believe what his team-mate had missed.

Klopp spoke at a press conference and once again defended Darwin in the face of incisive questions from reporters about the move. The manager said one quality makes the Uruguayan "really different". "The first chance he had was really well done, a great pass, first touch over the top and then he nailed it on the crossbar," Klopp said after the game. Then he added: "Obviously the whole team today was not in the mood for goals, and that doesn't help. But what makes Darwin really different is that he is involved in practically everything. We're calm," said the Reds boss.

Haaland misses more than Darwin Nunez

A revealing fact is that Darwin Nunez has fewer missed chances in front of goal than Erling Haaland, as in this Premier League season, the Norwegian has missed eleven chances while the Uruguayan striker has failed to score in ten clear chances.
