The drama of the year continues to be the talk of the town, and it looks set to continue for a very long time. Following rumours that Kylian Mbappé wants to leave PSG in January because he is no longer comfortable in Paris, Liverpool could take advantage of the drama and steal their most prized jewel from the Parisians.
However, if they want to do so, it won't come cheap. There are not many teams that could buy Mbappé nowadays. We could even count them on one hand. One of them we are very clear about, Real Madrid, and another of those who would fight to take 'the tortoise' would be Liverpool. Why are there so few teams that can buy him? Simple, money.

Liverpool want to steal from Manchester City, Guardiola trembles
Mbappé is currently valued at €160 million, according to Transfermarkt, but we know that, if someone wants him, they will have to get cute and spend more. Liverpool could do this, as they have a very healthy economy. The Reds have received a lot of money from their great Champions League and Premier League campaigns and would be perfectly compliant with Financial Fair Play.
Furthermore, Klopp has already made it abundantly clear that they are interested in signing him, and this would open the door. According to Kieran Maguire, professor and head of the economic portal "Price of Football", the millionaire signing of Mbappé to Liverpool is entirely possible. "Surely Liverpool could buy Mbappé for more than 200 million, signing him on a five-year contract and paying him a high salary".
Should PSG be open to selling him, the transfer could soar to more than €200m if we go by Real Madrid's rejected offer in the summer of 2021 and the player's market value (€160m, according to 'Transfermarkt'). It would be the most expensive transfer in history, beating Neymar's 222. In addition, to this should be added an astronomical salary (50 million net per year and more than 100 million renewal bonus) that should be assumed by a Liverpool that in the last market spent (90 million) almost the same as it earned (81).
