He will have a big problem to solve for Saturday's game

Liverpool's FIFA off-season break had proved to be a great opportunity to give players off the pace and those returning from injury extra days of preparation ahead of the first weekend of October at Anfield, but things didn't quite work out for Jürgen Klopp as Luiz Diaz, Darwin Núnez and Diogo Jota were all absent from training.

When it seemed that good news would begin to flood Merseyside with the recovery of players like Ibrahim Konate, Caoimhin Kelleher, Calvin Ramsay and even Naby Keita, the picture changed drastically in a few days when the German tactician's training was incomplete, especially in the offensive zone, a situation that undoubtedly raises alarm bells as injuries or muscle fatigue could be the order of the day in any of those who went with their national team.

Klopp's good news ahead of Liverpool's month of madness

Although Diaz's absence is most likely justified by the activity he had with the Colombian national team in previous days against Mexico at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, United States, the absence of both the Uruguayan Nunez and Portuguese Jota can not be fully explained, as they had a quieter return to England after those games played in the same old continent.

The biggest concern is for striker Diogo Jota, as during Portugal's defeat to Spain, the Liverpool striker asked to leave the field of play due to fatigue, which could justify his absence from training at Anfield. Regardless of the reason why most of the attackers did not have a regular training session ahead of the Brighton game, the German helmsman is likely to offer some clarification ahead of the match.

Another concern that Klopp could have for this match revolves around the last of his attacking resources, Roberto Firmino, who despite having made the trip with the Brazil national team, was unable to see any activity in the games against Ghana and Tunisia, leaving the striker in the same condition as in Liverpool, just keeping training and those few minutes of play that he can get.
