The 2-2 draw at Anfield left Reds fans very upset on social media.

Liverpool again struggled defensively against Brighton in a hard-fought match in which they paid dearly for every mistake. Luis Diaz was a substitute. It was Trossard's afternoon of inspiration as he twice celebrated, to the bewilderment of an Anfield that could not believe its eyes. The final score was a 2-2 draw that prompted a number of fans on Twitter to call for the departure of manager Jürgen Klopp.

After four minutes, in a play with a backheel and luxury in the build-up, he scored a great finish. And to confound the misguided Reds backline, Trossard again on 18 minutes took advantage of Alexander-Arnold's poor day to celebrate a brace. To the home side's relief, Firmino linked up with Salah and finished well, although he had to postpone the clinch because of the VAR.

Liverpool could do business with someone Jürgen Klopp hates

For the second half, Klopp realised he needed Diaz and sent him on for Carvalho. In less than no time, on 54 minutes, his assist for Firmino meant the equaliser and calm for Liverpool. Misfortune would come for Brighton in this own goal from Webster on 63 minutes. Luis Diaz delivered an assist for Roberto Firmino's goal. The Colombian then set up Adam Webster's own goal for Liverpool's 3-2 Premier League win over Brighton.

Liverpool's Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino hit the back of the net in a match against Brighton in which he confirmed that he has started the 2022-23 season at an excellent level. Firmino's goal this afternoon took his tally to 75 goals and put him on course for a place in Reds' history, although it did little to help them win at Anfield.

Another home defeat for Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp's side were held to a draw by De Zerbi's Brighton. The visitors took an early 2-0 lead, but Liverpool managed to turn the game around with two goals from Roberto Firmino and Webster's own goal. Trossard scored the equaliser in the 83rd minute to give Liverpool a hat-trick. Not since Arshavin for Arsenal in 2009 had a visiting player scored three goals at Anfield.
