While all the players who attended the World Cup had nothing else on their minds but to win the competition, outside of Qatar the different clubs in Europe were already thinking about the immediate future of some of their players, finding on their return possibly an offer on the table that they will not be able to refuse, having to adapt to the new circumstances and challenges that it will bring to their career.

Given the imminent bad start of the 2022-2023 season in the Premier League, Liverpool is one of the teams most interested in making moves during the coming winter and summer, seeing the World Cup in the Middle East as a golden opportunity to visualize their possible reinforcements, finding with the selection of Serbia a player with whom they can supply part of their current needs.

The Serbian national team was placed in a group in which everyone had a chance to qualify for the round of 16 on the third and final day of the group stage, generating that situation that teams like Liverpool watched both duels in order to see which players work under pressure, and Jurgen Klopp was surprised by the great work done by Dušan Vlahović who was able to contribute with a goal during the 90 minutes.

The Serbian's determination and great football far outweighed that of striker Darwin Núñez, causing Klopp to make a good proposal to Juventus in order to sign the striker, having in mind to offer Ibrahima Konate in exchange for his striker, being a fair exchange for both sides who are in need of a fair element in that position.

Konate to go to Juventus

It seems that Liverpool are perfectly aware of the Italian club's needs, and know that offering a quality defender could be their weak point that would make them think seriously about such a mutually beneficial offer. Although at the moment it is still just a rumour, it seems that the Reds already have a strategy planned to make up for the possible absence of the Frenchman, as so far the fans have not been happy with the performance of Joe Gomez.
