Before the last golden era of our Liverpool began, there was a player who thrilled Anfield and got us dreaming that he could become the new star of the team. Philippe Coutinho, the Brazilian winger, proved to be a very talented player and proved that he had the qualities to become one of the best players in the world and even had the potential to become a legend of our club.
However, Coutinho did not have the patience to stay with the team and, in 2018, he decided to leave to join FC Barcelona, a team that without him had won everything, leaving Liverpool fans and Jürgen Klopp himself very saddened by his departure. But regret came early for Coutinho, as in the same season he left Liverpool won the Champions League and a year later the Premier League title.
Meanwhile, while Liverpool enjoyed their trophies, Philippe Coutinho suffered a series of injuries that prevented him from performing at his best level at Barcelona and was never able to consolidate himself in the Spanish giants, so he was loaned to FC Bayern where he did not have much activity either and finally ended up at Aston Villa. However, now it is said that his current team has intentions to sell him, as Coutinho is far from being the player he once showed he could be.
Last season with Aston Villa, Philippe Coutinho only played 20 Premier League games and scored just one goal. In addition, his market value has declined from €150 million when he played for Liverpool to his current value of just €10 million, which is why Aston Villa wants to take the opportunity to sell him, and apparently there is already a team interested in him.
According to various reports, Besiktas of the Turkish league would be interested in Philippe Coutinho and would be willing to pay around 8 million euros for him.
