Stefan Bajcetic has had a dream season. At 18 years of age, the Spanish-Serbian has managed to establish himself in Liverpool's rotations. The player was one of the most outstanding players in the last 'Boxing Day', where he managed to open his goalscoring account under the orders of Jürgen Klopp. The 'red' team, with many ups and downs this season and practically without options to fight for the title, is immersed in the reconstruction of the project, betting on the talent from the youth.
Coming from a family with a football pedigree, his father is the former Serbian player Srdjan Bajcetic, Stefan's career is starting to take off. Signed from Celta Vigo's youth academy just two seasons ago, Bajcetic has been working his way through the youth ranks at the north-west English club. Despite not speaking the language, at the time, the player's hunger for success made him leave his comfort zone and make the leap to a booming football for the younger players.

A year and a half after his arrival, Bajcetic has managed to break several records in the shirt of the five-time European champions. Making his debut on 26 October in the win over Ajax, the Galician has managed to convince Jürgen Klopp, earning a place in the first-team squad. Last Christmas Eve, Bajcetic managed to culminate a childhood dream, his particular Christmas present, when he made his debut as a striker against Unai Emery's Aston Villa.
The Vigo native, aged 18 years and 65 days, thus entered the annals of the Anfield club as the third youngest scorer of the team, behind Michael Owen (17 years and 143 days) and Raheem Sterling (17 years and 317 days); and the second youngest Spaniard to score a goal in the Premier League, only behind Cesc Fabregas.
The player's profile is a far cry from the young stars currently shining in British football. With a withdrawn and very familiar character, those around him say that the player's hunger for titles can only be boosted by his talent. A talent that two of the continent's top teams are competing for. "Playing for Spain or Serbia? It's not a decision I've made", he commented a few days ago on El Larguero. The battle for the new Anfield idol is already on.
