Adam Lallana, a former star for Liverpool, has revealed that he is not shocked by Jordan Henderson's leadership style for England, the Reds' captain is presently traveling with the Three Lions to Qatar for the 2022 World Cup. Henderson will be hoping to be in the starting lineup against Senegal on Sunday.
In his 34 career appearances for England.
Lallana has frequently played with his close friend, Henderson. After spending six years on Merseyside, the former Red left Liverpool in 2020 to join Brighton on a free transfer. The media made mention of Henderson's game-time leadership abilities, particularly his upbeat remarks to Manchester City player Phil Foden.
Lallana has since clarified how Henderson's actions will benefit his teammates by drawing on his own experience, Henderson, Jude Bellingham, and Declan Rice's midfield trio in the win over Wales was particularly impressive, according to Lallana for The Times. "I outlined earlier in the tournament about what Mount brings to a team, but the way the midfield three complemented each other was eye-catching.
It shouted strength and intensity. It was challenging to play against England because of their horribleness and roughness. They pestered and irritated whoever was paying attention while they were at Wales, given Henderson's participation in the starting XI, it should come as no surprise that there are some similarities to how Liverpool was when Jürgen Klopp initially joined the team.
Since he has only played in that style for the past seven years and it has been so successful for him professionally, he will undoubtedly carry some of that football over to his play for England. He could be heard praising Foden for making a block tackle at the touchline in the first half even over the broadcast. Even though Foden is one of England's most technically skilled players, he still enjoys running and engaging in challenges. It's not always about shooting or putting one in the net.
