He criticised the team's poor form in recent matches.

Jürgen Klopp believes Wolves will have been 'laughing' at the prospect of facing Liverpool after their 4-1 defeat to Napoli. The Reds, who contested the Champions League final in June, began their campaign in torrid fashion with a heavy defeat in Naples. It was a torrid night at the office for Liverpool as they slumped to a 4-1 defeat against Napoli.

Jamie Carragher expressed his concern for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp says Wolves will 'laugh' at their performances. Klopp's side certainly have time to put things right in Champions League Group A, but with Ajax and Rangers as the other teams they will face, there will have to be a quick reaction.

Before that, Liverpool return to Premier League action with a home game against Wolves as they look to close the six-point gap that has already emerged between them and the top of the table. According to Klopp, Bruno Lage's side will be relishing the prospect of playing Liverpool in current form. Speaking after the game, he said: "It looks like we have to reinvent ourselves.

"There are a lot of things missing and the funny part is that we have to do it in the middle of a Premier League season and a Champions League campaign. In three days we play Wolves and when you watched the game tonight you probably can't stop laughing and thinking, 'My God, that's perfect timing'. I would say it's perfect timing, but we have to try to find a tune-up.

What Carragher said?

Speaking on CBS Sports, Carragher said: "For me, the big concern is whether this will continue through the season or whether it's the end of a cycle. Did Liverpool get their transfer ideas wrong because this team looks so far away? They've been at full strength for five or six years under Jurgen Klopp and I think in seven games this season they've conceded the first goal in five of them and they haven't started well. I'm not going to criticise their attitude because the mentality is fantastic, but is it a massive drop off physically because of what's happened in the last five or six years? The way they have played, how intense they have been and can this team recover this?
