Unbelievable, for Carragher Alisson not the best goalkeeper in the Premier League

One of the big reasons for the Reds success has been the great defensive order of the team, despite the great level of Virgil Van Dijk or Ibrahima Konaté who have been in charge of defending well the Reds low area, despite that Alisson Becker has been the best goalkeeper in the world during the last years, as the Brazilian goalkeeper has saved in countless occasions for the Reds.

This season Becker has maintained a great level, having a bad game against Manchester City, where thanks to s and error, the Citizens scored the first goal. Despite this, Alisson has had some great performances this season, being the most consistent goalkeeper in the best league in the world, the Premier League. That does not mean Becker is recognised as such.

The Brazilian goalkeeper has shone throughout his time with the Reds, but this has not been reflected with the Brazil national team, where Becker has been relegated to second-choice goalkeeper, with Ederson Moraes as his main man. And at the recent Ballon d'Or awards, Becker was not considered among the best.

Now former Reds star Jamie Carragher has named his ideal Premier League team, including Virgil Van Dijk, Trent Alexander Arnold, William Saliba, Destiny Udogie, Cole Palmer, Declan Rice, Bernardo Silva, Jarrod Bowen, Heung-Min Son and Mohamed Salah, as well as Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, leaving out Alisson Becker, which has raised doubts about Carragher.

Jamie Carragher can't recognise the good stuff

After listing the names of his favourite players in this Premier League, since Alisson is the goalkeeper of the team with which Carragher made history and yet he prefers a goalkeeper who is not even the shadow of Becker, since the Brazilian is the best in the world and Jamie does not know how to recognise him as well as many others. This only makes Becker keep working harder to remain the best.
