Despite the setbacks, the ups and downs, the mistakes, the injuries, the losing scorelines, Liverpool have remained a great team, leading the Premier League, knocking out Arsenal on matchday 3 of the FA Cup, making them favourites to win the cup. They are also in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, where they will play Fulham. In the Europa League they were group leaders and are also clear candidates for the title.

The Reds captain for this game, Trent Alexander Arnold, besides having a great game, was the player on the right wing who created the most depth for the team in attack. Scoring the first goal of the game, he was instrumental in the win. Trent spoke after the game against the Gunners where he talked about what was the key to the win "We changed things internally at half time and went out and played our football, created our chances".

So despite not playing in the Champions League this season, the team could have a chance of winning all their competitions as the team's mentality is the same for all competitions, and Trent said what the team's conviction was before the game "We came here with one objective: to win and qualify for the next round, and we've achieved that." So the team's ambition is reflected on the pitch.

Trent also spoke about the team's performance, where he made it clear how the team won the game as the team was assertive and Trent stated "we had our chances and near the end of the game we took them and won the game". Jürgen Klopp's team were attentive and knew how to take advantage of what the Gunners didn't, and while Arsenal had a good game TAA made it clear that the opposition only took advantage and not concrete as he said "they had their chances thanks to our mistakes."

The great togetherness of Anfield is one of the great virtues of this team

Despite not directly contributing to the scoreline, the Reds captain made clear the vital importance of the team's forwards, silly Dutchman Cody Gakpo and Uruguayan Darwin Nunez, as Arnold said: "We mixed it up, Darwin opened up a bit more and Cody [Gakpo] went into the middle. I think that really made a difference." So Trent makes it clear that he is an excellent leader and that the Reds will be fighting for every title this season. With 20, Trent Alexander-Arnold is the player who has created the most chances from set-pieces in the Premier League this season, tied with James Ward-Prowse.
