Mohamed Salah: The Next Big Signing in Saudi Arabia?

An Impressive Comeback

Mohamed Salah has been one of the standout names of the season. The Egyptian, who seemed to have left his best form behind, has rediscovered his peak level this season, captivating Anfield even more, with Liverpool leading the Premier League.

A Historic Performance

Salah's performance this season is historic, both for him, as he reaches his best-ever stats, and for England in general. No one had ever managed to reach more than 10 goals and assists before the year ended, but Salah has been so sharp that in just 20 Premier League matches, he has already scored 18 goals and provided 13 assists, making him a strong contender for the Ballon d'Or.

Salah's Future at Liverpool

At Liverpool, the new contract for their star has become practically a matter of state. Or rather, its absence. His contract ends this June, and since January, he has been free to negotiate with any club. At 32 years old, Salah could secure one of the best contracts in the world, and it seems he won't be wearing the 'Red' jersey beyond this season.

Saudi Arabia's Offer

Saudi Arabia attempted to sign Salah last season, offering a sum that would make him the most expensive transfer in football history, even surpassing Neymar, but Liverpool rejected the offer. Now, with no barriers in the way, the Saudis are back in pursuit. According to The Sun, the Egyptian has a 77 million euros per season offer on the table for a two-year contract, which would place him among the highest-paid players in the world.

A Deal Gaining Momentum

This comes after Turki Alalshikh, president of the Saudi General Authority, shared a photo of Salah in Al-Hilal’s jersey, the club that is making a strong push for him. Additionally, since the transfer would be free, Salah would receive a lucrative signing bonus, pushing the total value of the deal even higher.
