Salah and Van Dijk Free to Engage in Contractual Negotiations with Foreign Clubs
Mohamed Salah and Van Dijk are free to enter contractual negotiations with foreign clubs after entering the final six months of their current deals.
There are strong reports suggesting that Salah might be on his way to Saudi Arabia, with rumours linking him to a move to Al Hilal.
Liverpool fans will be hoping that isn’t the case, but Saudi journalists and reports are now verifying these claims and taking them even further.
Mo Salah and Van Dijk Agree on an Extraordinary Deal with Saudi Arabia
A report by Khalid Qinan, a journalist for the Saudi newspaper Okaz, speaking to Mega FM, revealed that Salah has already agreed to represent Al Hilal.
“Mohamed Salah is on the verge of representing Al Hilal, if it hasn’t already been finalised,” said Qinan.
Qinan also disclosed an extraordinary claim, suggesting that Salah would be joined by Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk at Al Hilal:
“Salah won’t be the only one joining Al Hilal; his Dutch teammate Virgil van Dijk has also agreed to join the club.
“Salah will sign a long-term contract, and talks began a long time ago, with Al Hilal being the first Saudi team to negotiate with him. Having an extended transfer window before the Club World Cup greatly helped Al Hilal in the Mohamed Salah transfer case.”
Qinan further revealed that Salah would earn an extraordinary fee if he were to join the club:
“Mohamed Salah will receive at least as much as Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, if not more.
“There are preliminary agreements between Salah and Al Hilal, but final agreements have not yet been reached, which could happen shortly.
“It’s over for Liverpool,” concluded Qinan.
It’s an extraordinary claim. And it would be extremely concerning for Liverpool supporters around the world.
For now, everything is out of the club’s hands. Salah is free to negotiate with other parties, and there’s no way Liverpool can prevent it.
