Liverpool defeated Bournemouth and goes to the Carabao Cup final.

Liverpool shows no sign of letting up in its quest for a second Premier League title in four years after Sunday's thumping 4-0 win at Bournemouth. Jürgen Klopp made a crucial tactical tweak at half-time and it paid dividends as Darwin Núñez and Diogo Jota both found the net twice. It was the third win in as many matches in the absence of Mohamed Salah as Liverpool proved it can cope without its talismanic No.11. Liverpool may need to do so for some time yet too, with the Egyptian returning from the Africa Cup of Nations with a muscle injury.

Alisson's luxury home that even Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't have

Liverpool's preparations for the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Fulham are now well underway with the Reds needing to hold on to their 2-1 lead to reach Wembley. It would be the perfect end to the month for Klopp and his players as they bid to continue their push for four trophies in the second half of the season.

After a quiet first half at Bournemouth on Sunday, Darwin Núñez was unleashed after moving centrally as his two goals helped Liverpool to a 4-0 win. It was one of the Uruguayan's most clinical displays in front of goal as he secured his place among some Anfield greats. The striker now has 10 goals and 10 assists in all competitions this season and only three players have ever done so in fewer games, Steven Gerrard (twice), Mohamed Salah and Luis Suárez.

Unsurprisingly, Núñez has had to deal with plenty of comparisons to his compatriot Suárez since his summer arrival amid his track record of missing golden opportunities. But he is starting to show just how prolific he can be in front of goal. James Martin has taken a look at the numbers behind Núñez's Liverpool career here and explains why he is having a great impact on his side's results. Despite the wealth of their Saudi investors, Newcastle could be forced to sell prized assets Bruno Guimarães and Alexander Isak to make sure it meets FFP rules. Eddie Howe's side has not done any January business with funds tight after recent big spending.

On the lookout for Financial Fair Play

With the Premier League cracking down on any FFP breaches, Newcastle may need to cash in on Guimarães and Isak at the end of the season. Liverpool has been linked with Brazilian midfielder Guimarães for some time, while Chelsea and Barcelona are keen with his release clause standing at £100m. Isak is a reported target for Arsenal after settling into the Premier League seamlessly, with both players having only joined Newcastle at the start of last season.
