Mohamed Salah has been out of action since picking up an injury at the AFCN earlier this month.

Mohamed Salah continues to recover from the hamstring injury he suffered at the African Cup of Nations. Salah was forced to leave Egypt's match against Ghana on January 18 and returned to Liverpool to receive treatment for the problem. It had been agreed that he would return for the latter stages of the tournament, but Egypt were eliminated in the round of 16 against the Democratic Republic of the Congo. There are a couple of weeks left before returning to action, and manager Jürgen Klopp posted an update ahead of Wednesday night's win over Chelsea at Anfield.

Salah is already training and this would be the game in which he would return

"He's not ready for this game, he's not ready for the next game [against Arsenal] and then he's not," Klopp said, indicating that Salah will also miss Liverpool's visit to Burnley on February 10. "He is injured and a muscle injury takes time." "He could have been much worse, but at the moment he is not available. He is just in rehabilitation," Klopp added.

But Salah teased fans that he is on his way back by posting a video on Instagram from Liverpool's AXA Training Ground with the caption "recovery work continues". And he followed up with a second clip on Thursday, showing him completing a series of running drills.

"Although Salah was not running at full speed, he appears to complete the runs without any problems and will now work towards returning to full training. Liverpool fans are eager to see the club's top scorer back in action as the club chases wins on the four fronts but boss Klopp is not rushing Salah's return.
