So after Liverpool's win over Bournemouth, at the press conference Jürgen Klopp released information about Salah's injury. Where Klopp revealed: "[I spoke to him] immediately after [the game], pretty much the night it happened." In addition the Pharaoh is in contact with the team doctor who is in charge of giving updates on Mohamed's condition to the German coach.
Klopp was also asked about where Salah will take his rehabilitation on Merseyside, to which the German coach replied: "That is the plan. Whether that is already 100 per cent decided, I don't know, but that's the plan. Klopp finished confirming Salah's return when he said: "No matter how long he is out, I think probably everybody sees that it makes sense for him to be doing rehabilitation with us or with our people.
The German coach was also asked about whether Salah will return in time to continue playing for Egypt in the AFCON to which Klopp said: "I'm not a doctor. I would say that if Egypt qualify for the final and are fit before the final, then probably yes. Why not?" So it will all depend on whether Egypt can make the final without the Merseyside Pharaoh.
