Egypt and Liverpool star striker Mohamed Salah will be out for 10 to 15 days at the Africa Cup of Nations with a muscle strain, the national team's medical staff announced on Saturday. Salah suffered the injury on Thursday in Egypt's 2-2 draw with Ghana in Group B of the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire.

The Liverpool striker's muscle problem was a blow to Egypt's hopes for the tournament and the news was also of great concern to Premier League leaders Liverpool, who believe the injury could be long-term and are urgently awaiting the Egyptian at Anfield Road.
