Klopp with Bradley and Joe Gomez

After reports of an aggravation of Trent Alexander Arnold's injury, much has been said about who could be the ideal replacement for the club's upcoming games, and although it is very likely that Conor Bradley will end up being the one chosen by Klopp, nobody rules out that Joe Gomez could at some point take over the position, generating that second scenario that the center back is more exposed, leaving only Virgil Van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Jarell Quansah as the only ones available.

With Bardley and possibly Gómez at right back, Quansah would be the main change in the central defense, with a high possibility of seeing him play and thus continue to add minutes in this season of consolidation in his career, demonstrating that Klopp has great confidence in this youngster who already has just over a thousand minutes of play in the season.

So far this season, Jarell has been able to accumulate a total of 1275 minutes, being these figures relevant for someone who emerged from the club's academy, and in the Klopp era, only Rhys Williams, Jordan Ibe, Nat Phillips and Curtis Jones have more minutes in a season than Quansah.

But these numbers of the young English defender can grow with the passing of the weeks, and it is being able to achieve in just under 9 full games to overcome the 1920 minutes that Curtis Jones had during the 2020/2021 season, being able to finish Jarell as the second favorite of Klopp among the youth of the academy, being all surpassed evidently by Trent Alexander Arnold who today is one of the great figures of the institution.

Quansah could be the Reds' next defensive leader

The defensive numbers of this player show the great quality he has despite his short experience, and his repeated starts are a sign that Van Dijk and Konate could be losing their place to a young player who is liked by Klopp and who could have continuity in the next project, which is not yet known if it will be led by Xabi Alonso.
