The Reds took a short break after going through what is perhaps their busiest month of fixtures. December was a month where Liverpool had matches every three days, starting on 30 November, with the penultimate game of the Europa League group stage, when the Reds hosted LASK Linz at Anfield and secured their place in the next round of the Europa League with a 4-0 win.

After this match the Reds played a total of 9 matches in 27 days, with a result of a match every third day, which is undoubtedly an extremely exhausting schedule, and the team was already suffering from the loss of some players through injury. Now the Reds will have an excellent break, as the team will not play until 21 January when the Reds visit Bournemouth.
On Merseyside the team broke ranks after the last game against Fulham on 10 January and now the players are enjoying a well-earned holiday, so we can see Ibrahima Konaté and Alexis Mac Allister enjoying the pleasures of the beaches of Dubai. Meanwhile in Milan, vice-captain Trent Alexander Arnold was seen in great attire at the Dolce&Gabbana fashion show.
Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez was in Spain with his wife, where he began his European dream in Almeria. Also in Spain, goalkeeper Adrian San Miguel could be seen at a match of his favourite team Real Betis and in Barcelona, Harvey Elliott could be seen sampling the exquisite architecture of this beautiful city.
