Liverpool are aware that keeping Mohamed Salah beyond next summer will be a difficult task. The Egyptian's contract expires in June 2025 and, so far, there has been no significant progress on a possible renewal. With several Saudi Arabian teams pushing for his services, the English club's sporting management has already begun working on finding a reliable replacement.

Its price will be close to 100 million euros

According to recent reports, Liverpool have identified Xavi Simons as a possible replacement for Salah. The Dutchman, already owned by RB Leipzig after buying his transfer from Paris Saint-Germain , is displaying an extraordinary level in the Bundesliga, consolidating himself as one of the most decisive attacking midfielders in the German championship.

His ability to play in several attacking positions, his devilish dribbling and his ability to create chances make him an attractive profile for Arne Slot.

Leipzig, meanwhile, know that keeping Simons will be difficult in the long term and would be willing to negotiate his departure if they receive an offer of between 80 and 90 million euros.

This figure does not seem unreasonable for Liverpool, who could use part of the income from a hypothetical sale of Salah to pay for his signing. Simons' situation will be one of the topics to follow in the coming months, since his explosion in the Bundesliga has made him a coveted piece for several European giants.
