The Reds' last match in the Carabao Cup semifinals against Fulham was perhaps the biggest demonstration that Jürgen Klopp has one of the most competitive squads in England, even with the countless departures that have occurred, making it clear that Liverpool's true potential can only be seen when the German coach feels that his squad is complete and ready for any match.

Part of the Reds' preparation consists of getting back all those players who for one reason or another cannot be on the field today, and in the last few hours there has been very good news regarding several of the injured players, with Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas being the most likely to return soon.

Obviously this news brings Klopp some joy and peace of mind knowing that his team will gradually gain the strength he saw at the beginning of the campaign, but even the German coach could be strengthened even more if Mohamed Salah returns early from the African Cup of Nations, since the unplanned draw against Mozambique complicates the Pharaoh's situation in Egypt, since in order to aspire to qualify for the next round they must beat Ghana.

If the Reds player can do nothing to beat Ghana this coming Thursday, Salah and the Egyptian team will be all but out of the group stage, with the Pharaoh's failure to make an early return to Merseyside, perhaps making a comeback in Klopp's starting XI for January 31 when they face Chelsea in the Premier League.

Klopp faced with a difficult wish regarding his player

Although it is true that Klopp would be the happiest coach to be able to count on his best offensive player for the match against Chelsea, the German coach knows that the best scenario is for Salah to advance from the group stage in order to remain one of the great contenders for the African title, knowing that at home for the moment they have found in the duo of Gakpo and Nunez that effectiveness that continues to give good results.
