Despite Darwin Nunez's goal being worthwhile as Liverpool reach half-time against Brentford, two notable absentees have left the Reds very attentive to the fitness of two of their players - Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota. It was first Curtis Jones who, before Darwin Núñez's goal, could not stay on the pitch.

Breaking news, this is Curtis Jones' injury and when he could return
The player felt muscular discomfort and had to end his participation in the match earlier than expected. The worst part, however, went to Diogo Jota. The Portuguese international fell to the ground after a bad tackle with stud marks on his knee. The former Wolves player had to leave the field on a stretcher to the dismay of Jürgen Klopp and his teammates.
Minutes after assisting Uruguay's Darwin Núñez to open the scoring (35), Portugal's Diogo Jota had to leave the field on a stretcher after suffering a severe impact to his knee (44). Earlier, Liverpool had already had to replace Curtis Jones (34) with ankle discomfort. In addition, Klopp substituted Nunez at halftime as a precaution. "Curtis took a knock, with Jota it was also in a duel. We don't know if Darwin has something or not, but he felt something," Klopp said after the game.
As an exclusive, Dave OCKop reports that Diogo had scans yesterday and they are awaiting the results, but there are fears that the injury is a PCL (anterior cruciate ligament) so he would miss the rest of the season. I repeat, the results are not yet known. This may hint at Klopp's reaction during an interview this Saturday in which he was frustrated by the situation.
