The left winger has been a key player for Liverpool and the Colombian national team. Since his arrival at Anfield in 2022, Luis Díaz has been a key part of Liverpool's tactical set-up. His skill, speed and eye for goal have made him one of the most dangerous strikers in the Premier League. With 114 appearances and 33 goals, the Colombian has already won over the Reds' fans and has become one of the team's key players.
As well as shining at club level, Díaz is also an idol of the Colombian national team. In one of the most important games in the history of Colombian football, he scored both goals in a 2-1 victory over Brazil in Barranquilla in the World Cup Qualifiers. That historic match guaranteed Colombia an important step towards qualifying for the World Cup.
At the 2024 Copa América, Díaz was one of the highlights of the Colombian team, which reached the final of the competition. Despite losing to Argentina, the Colombian showed his talent and potential for great things.
Speed and skill: Díaz is an extremely fast and skilful player, capable of dribbling past opponents with ease and creating goalscoring opportunities.
Goal scoring prowess: The Colombian has an excellent eye for goal, arriving in the box with danger and finishing with precision.
Versatility: Díaz can play both on the left and in the centre of attack, making him a very versatile player for the coach.
