Liverpool has its eye on one of the biggest promises in world football. Striker Marcus Thuram, son of legendary defender Lilian Thuram, world champion with France in 1998, has been the subject of intense speculation in recent days, with the Anfield club being identified as the main interested party in signing the young Frenchman.
Playing for Inter Milan, Thuram has stood out for his versatility, physical strength and eye for goal. Runner-up for France in the 2022 World Cup, the striker showed the world his full potential and became one of the most sought-after names on the market.
The Reds' interest would have been motivated by the need to reinforce the team's offensive sector. With the departure of some players and the search for a new number 9, Liverpool sees in Thuram a player with the ideal characteristics for their style of play. The experience in big games and the winning genetics, inherited from his father, are additional attractions for the English club.
Negotiation, however, will not be easy. Inter Milan owns Thuram's federative rights and has already made it clear that it will not release the player for below-market prices. Furthermore, other major European clubs are also keeping an eye on the striker, which could lead to fierce competition for his services.
