Breaking news, the unexpected change for the Carabao Cup final
An 11th-minute goal from Colombian Luis Diaz had put Liverpool ahead on Wednesday. The Colombian infiltrated down the left side of the box and his shot was just wide of the near post to beat the home goalkeeper. Liverpool controlled the game thereafter but failed to extend their lead and it was Fulham who scored, thanks to French centre-back Issa Diop with a quarter of an hour to go (76).
The final quarter of an hour was thrilling, with the tension of a Fulham goal balancing the tie. The pressure from the Craven Cottage crowd was enormous but battle-hardened Liverpool held on tidily to complete the mission. Liverpool, five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League, are still ahead in all competitions. In the Europa League they are through to the last 16 and in the FA Cup they face second-tier Norwich in the last 16 on Sunday.

Salah breaks silence and warns critics over his departure from Egypt
Although it would normally be expected that half of the 90,000 seats at Wembley would go to Liverpool fans, or at least 40,000, it has been revealed on the team's official website that there will only be 32,196 for Reds supporters, the same amount as for Chelsea fans, and the rest, some 25,000, will not go to supporters of the two clubs and those will be given to EFL sponsors who will remunerate them handsomely.
