For the start of the new year and the second half of the season, the Reds already have in mind some of the players they would like to sign. Although the team is in first place, the challenge now will be to stay in first place in the Premier League, so reinforcements are already beginning to be visualised at Anfield.

The team is already interested in French central defender Jean-Clair Todibo, who currently plays for Ligue 1 side OGC Nice, where he has played a total of 14 games with a total of 1229 minutes this season. He has also already made an assist and his team is in second place in Ligue 1 and is the best defence in the competition with only 9 goals conceded in 17 games, and Todibo is an essential part of the team for these great results.
Although Todibo has not had a regular participation, he is part of the France national team, where he has met the Reds defender Ibrahima Konate, with whom he has a great relationship and this could result in a great benefit for the Reds as Jean-Clair is one of the best defenders in the French league so he is wanted by several teams, despite this the Reds have the lead against teams like Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tottenham.
According to reports from Nice-Matin, Todibo could consider leaving Nice in the summer, with Liverpool the favourites for his signature. This is undoubtedly great news for the Reds, as Todibo still considers Liverpool to be a more attractive destination thanks to his good friend Ibrahima Konaté. So thanks to the good relationship between Konaté and Jean Clair this could speed things up in the Reds' favour.

French defender Jean-Clair Todibo is 24 years old and is worth €35 million, so perhaps his cost is not a major problem, however the player and the team seem not to be interested in making a change at the moment, so it could be that in the following summer, Todibo will have a better chance of arriving on Merseyside.
