There are many doubts and few certainties about Tuesday's Champions League group stage match at Anfield, which is scheduled to take place on matchday 2 of the Champions League group stage. After the bitter 4-1 defeat to Napoli at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium, the Reds will be looking to get back on track against the Dutch side, but the game could not be played due to extra-sporting situations.

The Reds were unable to play this Saturday's scheduled match against Hampton at Anfield due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday. The Premier League decided to suspend all activity during these days due to the tribute activities that will be held for the late Queen Elizabeth II. But this could also affect the play of the continental tournament as the protocols will be extended for the next few days.

There are still doubts over whether Tuesday's game against Ajax will be played. Liverpool are still waiting for more information from UEFA. However, the club continues to prepare for the clash against the Dutch team. This match is of the utmost importance for the Reds in terms of not complicating their passage to the round of 16, so the first win of the tournament was urgently needed.

The Premier League was among the first accounts to post a message and change its logo to black as a sign of mourning, an act that all competing clubs followed. In turn, Liverpool posted a message on all their social media accounts such as Twitter, Faceook and Twitter about their grief at the death of the 96-year-old with a black and white portrait.

Cancellations

Even the match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday 19 September is also in doubt. This is due to the fact that a large number of police officers will be at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, so security at the match cannot be guaranteed.
