A few months ago thousands of fans in Paris witnessed the 2021-2022 edition of the UEFA Champions League come to an end with the match between Real Madrid and Liverpool, an event that unfortunately did not go smoothly as it was delayed for some time because English fans were said to be showing up with fake tickets to get into the stands outside the stadium.
Hundreds of Reds fans were trapped in the chaotic queues outside the Stade de France even though many of them had arrived hours before the event was due to start, but just when it seemed that only the Liverpool fans' non-conformity had been left to the poor organisation and mistreatment by the local police who tried to bring order with riot control actions, now the Reds have found out that UEFA itself had them to blame for something they hadn't even done.

Due to UEFA's mismanagement from the beginning, the scheduled kick-off time was finally delayed by more than 30 minutes. In announcing the first kick-off delay, UEFA displayed a message on the big screen inside the ground that was simultaneously broadcast around the world; "Due to the late arrival of fans, the match has been delayed. More information will follow in 15 minutes at the latest".
However, it is now being claimed that this message on one of the stadium screens had already been prepared by UEFA well in advance, causing thousands of Liverpool fans to feel even more upset and dissatisfied as even in those moments of uncertainty prior to the start of the final, various media outlets were peddling false narratives about the tickets and the atmosphere with fans unable to enter the stadium.
Although UEFA itself at the time promised a thorough investigation into what happened that day outside the stadium in Paris, the issue was left unresolved and forgotten. Now this kind of news is hurting all the fans who hope not to see this kind of incident and injustice happen again if they make it to the final of the competition to be held in Istanbul in May next year.
