The reason why Klopp is still being criticised despite Liverpool's win revealed

Not everyone was happy with Liverpool's 2-0 win over Rangers at Anfield tonight. Although the team reached six points and was close to qualifying for the next round of the Champions League. There is still criticism of the Reds and especially of German manager Jürgen Klopp. Some still believe he is to blame for the team not showing its full potential in this first part of the season. 

Liverpool have had a difficult start to the season in both the Premier League and Champions League as results have not been forthcoming for a team used to being in good form. Mserseyside's side beat Glasgow Rangers 2-0 on Tuesday to record their second win in the third round of Champions League Group A 2022-23, before visiting the Scots next week where they will need another victory to put them on course for qualification.

Souness compared this Liverpool to the one Shankly once managed a few decades ago, noting that Liverpool's FA Cup final loss to Watford was the watershed moment when "Bill" no longer allowed such extended continuity from his players, as the manager eventually grew old with the player. "It goes back to when Bill Shankly's team lost to Watford and he said, "I will never allow this again", what he meant by that was that he had moulded the team, but they had been together for too long and that allowed them to grow old together."
