Although the UEFA Champions League group stage is all but over, teams like Liverpool are looking to take advantage of those last 90 minutes to keep their players in competitive rhythm and not fall off the pace every time they return to the Premier League, with Jurgen Klopp and his players looking to redeem the poor performance they had at home to Leeds United against Napoli.

Despite having a very acceptable group stage in the Champions League, Liverpool do not seem to have what it takes to close their sixth game against Napoli on a high note, as the Italians have been not only the most spectacular team in Serie A but also in the European Champions League, surprising the entire continent by being unbeaten in both competitions and showing a high effectiveness in terms of victories.

The Gli Azzurri's impressive numbers so far have caught the eye of the Reds boss, who spoke ahead of their game about how he perceives their opponents, making it clear that Liverpool have no fears at all about facing a great team that is doing splendidly. I'm a football lover and since we've been playing them I've watched their games, it's very good! I'm not afraid, it's a tough challenge. I have a lot of respect for what they are doing."

Despite showing his respect and admiration for a Napoli side who look almost unbeatable, Klopp says he is not terrified of his opponents as he has a team capable enough for this kind of duel, seeing the key to success in being that uncomfortable opponent that everyone hates to meet head-on. "We have to fight, but Napoli will fight too. We have to be the opponent that [other teams] don't want to face, but Napoli are very good."

Klopp confident of beating Napoli

The scales do not look at all favourable to a Liverpool side coming off the back of a loss to the second-bottom of the Premier League, for even though Klopp has regained some key pieces in midfield and defence, the Reds do not appear capable enough to cope with an Italian side that looks almost perfect in every department.
