After Liverpool suffered yet another defeat against Arsenal in the Premier League this past weekend, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp decided to make a couple of changes to his starting XI for the UEFA Champions League matchday 4 clash with Rangers, with those players who did not have a good day against the Gunners being affected, with the German coach surprisingly leaving Thiago Alcántara and Mohamed Salah out of the starting line-up.
Ahead of the game against the Scottish side, Liverpool's official account surprised with the publication of the starting eleven with some variations, as while some questioned the starting line-up of Ibrahima Konaté, some others were happy with the participation of Fabinho and others questioned Klopp's decision to put Mohaed Salah on the substitutes' bench, a somewhat strange situation as the Reds would lose a lot of attacking power.

It is obvious that injuries to Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz have forced the German tactician to make a series of strategic and tactical modifications ahead of this match, not making it too complicated to take out those who did not have a great role in the Premier League and give way to those who have been doing things better, resulting in a team that looks well set up in midfield.
Mohamed Salah's constant bad decisions against the Gunners forced Jurgen Klopp to replace him with Fabinho Tavares in the 70th minute, but now in this match against Rangers, the Brazilian midfielder got the start leaving the Egyptian on the bench, surely having some minutes during the second half of the match to try to get the three points to secure the Reds to the sub-leadership of Group A in the Champions League.
As happened a couple of weeks ago with those tactical changes against Rangers, Liverpool will once again make adjustments against this team, but on this occasion the balance that Jurgen Klopp is looking for is to find a stability that will allow them to cope with this and the next matches they will have in October, sacrificing a little of that attacking creativity by leaving Mohamed Salah on the bench and with the injury to Luis Díaz.
