Eden Hazard is currently in training with the Belgian national team that he not only captains, but in which he is one of the most important men in the squad. Despite the fact that at Real Madrid he is not playing a leading role, his starting line-up in Roberto Martinez's scheme leaves no room for doubt ahead of the World Cup in Qatar which starts on Sunday and this tournament has much more impact than expected on his career as he will have the opportunity to increase the interest of his suitors in the market.
There have been continuous rumours that Hazard will be out of Real Madrid in January due to the winter transfer window, as Ancelotti has made it clear that he does not count on him, a decision caused both by his low level and the presence of Vinicius, Rodrygo, Asensio, Fede Valverde and Karim Benzema. What's more, in the last interview the 31-year-old himself predicted his possible departure from the Bernabéu due to the lack of importance he is playing in the Whites' plans and, above all, the interest shown lately by one of the Premier League's most fashionable teams: Newcastle.
He failed at Anfield, Liverpool dumped him, now he dreams of a comeback
It will be a tough loss, Liverpool suffer, Klopp worried
The prestigious English daily Express reports today that the team owned by Mohammed bin Salman is willing to make room in its ranks for Hazard in January to allow the player to return to the competition in which he played the best years of his career, although he did so at Chelsea at the time.
Now, far from attracting the attention of the biggest names in Europe, Newcastle are the club most interested in signing Eden, knowing that the operation could be completed quickly: Ancelotti does not count on him and will accept his departure without hindrance, Hazard wants to get back to his best and enjoy a large number of minutes and Florentino will make it very easy for the deal to be completed, knowing that he would be able to get rid of a large sum in view of his salary.
In that sense, there is talk of an agreement of around 15 million, a figure that Newcastle could pay without major complications and that would have the green light from Real Madrid in January to put an end to the biggest failure of Florentino Perez in the transfer market. If the deal goes through, Hazard will no longer be in the last-16 clash with Liverpool in the Champions League.
