Reds fans want to see their former player become a European champion

After Real Madrid's 6-2 aggregate scoreline at the Santiago Bernabeu put the Reds out of the Champions League, a section of Liverpool fans, out of affection and respect, want one of their former players to reach the final of the European Cup and lift the trophy at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul on 10 June.

With the Champions League quarter-final line-up announced, the game that could cause the most excitement over the 180 minutes is Manchester City's clash with Bayern Munich, with the Anfield faithful focusing their attention on the Bavarian side featuring Senegalese striker Sadio Mané.

The fact that Reds fans support Mané is not only because of his past with the institution, but also the fact that the Senegalese could leave Pep Guardiola's team in the way is reason enough to go with the Germans for this series, because if they advance to the next round of the competition, the idea that the signals can face and eliminate Real Madrid with his goal will feel like an indirect revenge after what happened in the round of 16.

Liverpool fans still can't forget Mané

While these good wishes for Mané are only from a small section of the public, when it comes to the African returning to the team and joining Mohamed Salah as the lethal penalty-box duo, everyone's response is a resounding "yes", making it clear that even if fate has the Senegalese in Germany today, the Reds will always welcome his return to the club where he did win a Champions League in 2019.
