Since making his debut as a 17-year-old last season, Stefan Bajcetic has been one of Liverpool's revelations, but since missing the second leg against Real Madrid in the Champions League with an adductor injury last March, he has not returned to action, although he is now training and is expected to be back soon.
"Unfortunately, it has been confirmed that the injury will keep me out until the end of the season. It is very sad to say goodbye in this way to such an incredible season for me, but I understand that this is part of football and will make me stronger physically and mentally," he added," the player said on social media to publicise his injury.
Despite his youth, Bajcetic's absence has been marked at Liverpool as there is currently no other player with his defensive characteristics in the squad with the departure of Fabinho and even Jordan Henderson, so both manager Jurgen Klopp and the fans are eagerly awaiting his return to the pitch.
Although the Spaniard has recovered from the injury, he does not appear in the images published on social networks of Wednesday's training session and is therefore ruled out of Saturday's match against Bournemouth. However, according to reports he could return to training next week and at least be on the bench against Newcastle or Aston Villa.
