It is no secret that Liverpool's board would have a very hectic summer transfer market, because after the failure of last season, Jürgen Klopp would have asked for a reconstruction of the team that would necessarily have to be accompanied by several signings, for which the board would have been willing to invest a lot of money.
So far they have only been able to make two signings, the first was Alexis Max Allister who had a really fantastic season at Brighton & Hove Albion and also with the Argentina national team with whom he was crowned champion of the World Cup in Qatar 2022. Subsequently, Klopp managed to sign Dominik Szoboszlai who played the last few seasons with RB Leipzig, after paying the 70 million euros of his termination clause.
However, everything seems to indicate that Jürgen Klopp and the Anfield board are not satisfied with those two good signings and would be looking to finalize the arrival of at least two more players this summer. In that sense, it has been reported that the intention is to sign a third midfielder and a central defender.
For the central defensive position, Jürgen Klopp would have in mind a very promising player for whom he would be willing to pay a large amount of money, as Levi Colwill would be Klopp's number one priority to reinforce the defense. The problem is that Colwill is so good and has such a promising future that Chelsea, his current team, seems to be unwilling to sell him at any cost, so Klopp would have to look for alternatives if he wants to sign a new defender.
According to journalist Pete O'Rourke, Liverpool have Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi on their radar. 22 years old and valued at 35 million euros, Guehi could be an interesting alternative for Klopp, however it has been reported that Crystal Palace would be asking around 70 million for him, which could complicate the transaction.
