Anfield clean-up continues

Things at Anfield have taken a turn for the worse after Fabio Carvalho was confirmed to be leaving the club after being left out of the midfield where captain Jordan Henderson rules the roost. Now the fans will be dealt another blow with the possible departure of Harvey Elliot, who will have to leave Anfield in need of more playing time.

Harvey Elliot, who is now on international duty with The Three Lions at the Under-21 World Cup, playing the final minutes in the 2-0 win over Czech Republic, was also nominated along with 99 other players for the Golden Boy 2023, interestingly his club team-mate Stefan Bajcetic, an 18-year-old player, is also in the running for the award.

Jordan Henderson has just turned 33 and tops Klopp's list of preferred midfielders, and unfortunately Elliot's youth has no place, forcing the Red's to loan him out for next season. According to Fulham FC fan pages, the capital club would be interested in repatriating the player who played there in 2019.

Elliott arrived on Merseyside in July 2019 for a fee of 2 million euros and in his first spell, the Red's loaned the Englishman to Blackburn Rovers and then returned home with more experience in 2021 to be watched directly by Jürgen Klopp. This season he made 18 starts, with one appearance in which he found the net.
