In the last few days it became known that Al-Ittihad, the same team that signed Fabinho this summer, have tried to take Mohamed Salah to the Saudi Pro League, offering him a 2-year, €180 million contract. However, Mo has rejected the offer because he is 100% focused on facing the new season with our Liverpool, which is shaping up to be a very important one for the future of the club.
It is no secret that Salah is the most important player in the current Reds squad, as he is one of the few remaining from the last golden era of the club that won everything in recent years. The 31-year-old Egyptian continues to prove his worth every time he pulls on the Liverpool jersey, as he was directly involved in 9 goals for the team during pre-season alone, more than any other player.
Losing Mohamed Salah would be a huge blow to our club, however it seems we don't have to worry about that at least in the short term, as Mo is under contract with Liverpool until 2025. However, there is widespread fear among fans as it has been reported that the Saudi Pro League will not cease their attempts to convince Salah to migrate to the Arab league and from Egypt they have reported what Salah's stance is regarding his future with the team.
Egyptian journalist Ismael Mahmoud, assured that Mohamed Salah is totally focused on the 2023-2024 season with Liverpool, however he asserted that the player is 100% open to a future arrival in the Saudi Pro League in the future, but for that he will first evaluate the project of the club that wants to sign him before making a decision next year.
