Our Liverpool's debut and introduction to the 2023-2024 Premier League campaign is behind us after a draw against Chelsea away at Stamford Bridge. Now, the team is already preparing for the second game of the season against Bournemouth, which will mark the presentation of the team at Anfield.
Fans are looking forward to seeing Liverpool at home, with the added bonus of getting their first glimpse of the Anfield redevelopment, which is expected to be fully completed by October this year and will expand the number of fans who will be able to cheer on the team from the stands to 61,000.
Liverpool's next game, against Bournemouth, looks like a good opportunity to get our first win of the season as our opponents are, in theory, inferior to Jurgen Klopp's squad. They come, like us, from a one-goal draw when they faced West Ham at their stadium.
The Reds fans still remember with great joy the tremendous thrashing Liverpool gave Bournemouth in August 2022, when we beat them 9-0 with a sensational performance of the whole team, precisely at Anfield. However, we also remember that the last time we played them we lost 1-0 at the Vitality Stadium.
In the last 10 games in which Jürgen Klopp's Liverpool have faced Bournemouth, the record is in the Reds' favor as we have lost just twice, drawn once and won seven times. Moreover, in that span, Liverpool have scored a total of 33 goals against them.
