For many football fans, the Premier League is the best in the world. The most competitive, the one with the best players and also the one with the best coaches. Undoubtedly, Jürgen Klopp enters that list of great managers, as the German tactician has led our Liverpool to conquer every possible trophy, which has made him a legend of the club.
However, it is also undeniable that there are other Premier League teams with great coaches and Pep Guardiola is undoubtedly one of the best in the world at the moment, especially after last season with Manchester City. That has led to Premier League coaches having big salaries, as they have managed to win big titles for their respective teams.
But now, the Saudi Arabian league has burst onto the market. Since January 2023, the Saudi Pro League made headlines in the international press when Cristiano Ronaldo decided to leave the Premier League to play for Al-Nassr. Now, just six months later, players such as Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kanté, Kalidou Koulibaly and Ruben Neves have also left for the exotic Middle Eastern league, which has brought big names to its league on million-dollar salaries.
Recently, Al-Ettifaq sought to convince Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard to become the team's new manager. However, Gerrard turned down what would have been a million-dollar offer. But now, another Saudi Arabian club has approached another great Anfield idol, as reports claim that former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler will be the new manager of Al-Qadsiah.
According to various reports, the former Liverpool striker could earn a salary of up to 200 million euros per season, which could increase if he is promoted to the top flight next season. In comparison, Guardiola would be earning around 22 million per season at Manchester City.
