The statistics in the Merseyside side's favour

After Liverpool secured a good result in their fifth EUFA Europa League regular-season match against LASK Linz, the Jürgen Klopp-led squad have now turned their full attention to their 14th Premier League match of the season against Fulham, who will have their work cut out against a Reds side who are favoured by a host of statistics when this fixture is assessed.

Perhaps the biggest fear the Cottagers have for this game is the Reds' attacking prowess at the moment, and while there is some truth to that, in reality the biggest fear for this opponent is about their away form, as Liverpool, having won their Europa League game on Thursday night, Klopp and his squad have been able to maintain their unbeaten run at home with 10 wins from 10 games played.

The Reds' record is no mean feat even for them, as in the club's Premier League history they have only managed to do so during the 1972-73, 1985-86 and 1993-94 campaigns, with the 2023-24 campaign now adding to the list, the latter being the most modest of the list with just 10 wins so far.

Fulham know their capabilities and recognise that they are not at a level where they can think of a clear victory over the Reds, leaving the Reds to go for a draw to add to their overall tally, with a collateral bonus being the fact that they can take away the Reds' record of only winning at home, The fact is that if the Meseyside side win on Sunday, they will reach 11 straight wins, which would equal their streak from the 72-73 campaign, with the other targets standing at 13 and 16 wins, the 85-86 being the second-biggest, with the 1983-84 record taking the top spot.

The Reds are not just looking to set new records

Beyond Liverpool's ability to reach 11 consecutive home wins, Klopp and his squad are fighting relentlessly to reach the top of the competition at any cost, needing all three points at home in the face of poor results from both Manchester City and Arsenal, who sit just above them as runners-up and leaders respectively.
