Jamie Carragher has changed his mind and here's what he now thinks about Salah's possible exit

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher, current analyst and commentator on Sky Sports, does not hesitate to give his opinion, no matter how harsh, when it comes to any subject related to his beloved club Liverpool. That is why the former Reds captain has not hesitated to speak out on several occasions about Al-ittihad's interest in Mohamed Salah.

A couple of weeks ago, when it was reported that Al-Ittihad, the club that this summer signed Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kanté and Fabinho, were interested in making Salah the highest paid player in the Saudi Pro League and that they would be willing to pay around £100 million for the Egyptian to bring him to their club this summer, Carragher said that Liverpool should not even consider a bid for that sum of money as Salah is too important to the team.

"When you look at what [Harry] Kane went for, I think it was about £100m, Kane's a year or two younger but he only had a year to go. Mo Salah's got two years to go, looks after himself really well, but for Liverpool to sell right now they're not going to want what he's worth, they're going to want well more than that" Jamie Carragher said at the time.

However, reports claim that Al-ittihad would offer a package of up to £200 million to sign Salah this summer, remembering that the transfer window in Saudi Arabia lasts two weeks longer than in Europe. And with this new offer that could come from Saudi Arabia, it seems that Jamie Carragher has changed his mind about the possible departure of Mohamed Salah.

What does Jamie Carragher have to say now?

Jamie Carragher seems to be confident that Salah will not leave Liverpool this summer, as he recalled that the Pharaoh's own agent said a few weeks ago that they would not have signed a contract extension recently if they intended to leave, however he pointed out that in the end every footballer has a price. "I do think for any player, even supporters who love him and don't want him to move, if that number keeps going up and up and up and up, there is a stage where you think, 'You know what, you can't turn that down' And that's £200m," he told Sky Sports.
